Sew Colette 2.0

Sarah, Erin and Rochelle are putting on a fun sew along called Sew Colette 2.0 which will feature each of our patterns! To borrow from Erin’s post, she calls it a collaborative process, featuring tutorials, guest posts, and lively discussion, as seen in the handbook sew-along, with some very special guests coming to share their expertise. It sounds quite fun! Sarai and I will be even be writing a few guest posts for it.

The Hazel dress is the first pattern in the queue. Many of you have asked us about bust adjustments for the Hazel dress and these lovely ladies will be covering bust adjustments and other fitting issues in the sew along. The Hazel dress is a perfect place to start since it is a beginner pattern and it’s just so darn cute!

Even if you’re not sewing the Hazel dress, stay tuned to these ladies because they will be covering all of our patterns and including many helpful tips, suggestions and ideas. It’s a great way to stay motivated to finish your Colette garments and be a part of the sewing community. Thank you Sarah, Erin and Rochelle for putting this together!

Hop on over to the Sew Colette 2.0 intro post and join up!

Thanks for reading! If this is your first time visiting, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed and follow @ColettePatterns on Twitter.

Thank you for letting us do the sew-along! It is so fun to work on the same projects as others and if you are a beginner like me, it also makes sewing less intimidating. Thank you again :)

As a beginner I’ll be tuning in, still don’t have the confidence to sew a dress or top yet.

I partipated in the first Sew Colette and it was so much fun. I’m really looking forward to 2.0! I downloaded and taped my Hazel pattern together just the other day.

Hello all. I am a very recent beginner just about to purchase my first Colette pattern – the Hazel – with much excited anticipation! I am curious to know if anyone has any advice for larger busted women. I am a 32F in the bust, so the pattern will need a little tinkering, methinks! I’d really appreciate any thoughts on how best to proceed.
