Thank you for explaining what gingham is! In searching for black-and-white gingham last year for a project, it amazed me how many people who worked in fabric stores did not know what gingham was. What was even worse is the stores who would tell me we only have printed gingham — which translated into cotton that was printed with a two tone checker board pattern or not gingham at all.
I know this isn’t gingham he wears, but that picture just so reminds me of Matt Smith as Doctor Who! I love the look of bow-tie, checked shirt, suspenders – top it off with a tweed coat and I’m in a swoon!
