I haven’t sewed taffeta yet, but I always like to think of Mammie’s red taffeta underskirt in Gone with the Wind when I think of taffeta. Wear taffeta when you want people to hear you coming and going! That or some clogs!
I love taffeta!!!!! It’s such a party animal! It’s one of the only fabrics I really enjoy both as a synthetic and a natural fiber. I adore the swooshy noise it makes as you walk (in synthentics). I have a small bit of black and white polka dot taffeta that is desperately wanting to be a skirt….must pull out.
