Caitlin is our stitcher extraordinaire, putting together samples, helping with design, and coming up with fun projects for the website. She helps with photoshoots and is also our resident redhead and deputy Crazy Cat Lady.
I haven’t sewed taffeta yet, but I always like to think of Mammie’s red taffeta underskirt in Gone with the Wind when I think of taffeta. Wear taffeta when you want people to hear you coming and going! That or some clogs!
I love taffeta!!!!! It’s such a party animal! It’s one of the only fabrics I really enjoy both as a synthetic and a natural fiber. I adore the swooshy noise it makes as you walk (in synthentics). I have a small bit of black and white polka dot taffeta that is desperately wanting to be a skirt….must pull out.
