Her post about the pattern: Stick a Fork in it Pastille
What fabric did you use? Quilting cotton for the bodice and medium weight cotton twill for the skirt
How did you decide to reflect your personal style in the pattern? I fell in love with the print on the bodice and I thought it complimented faintly retro-yet-modern vibe of the dress. I opted for the darker bottom to balance out the busy print and to make the silhouette more flattering for my figure.
What thoughts do you have about the pattern? This is definitely on my list of favorites, definitely my favorite Colette creation to date. I always love how clear the instructions are in Colette patterns, especially with the fitting tips throughout the book. The only changes I made were to add a lining and omit the sleeve facings in favor of a bias trim. Other than that, it was a perfect sewing experience right out of the box!
Thanks, Katya!
