Styling Truffle for Winter
Today I’m styling the Truffle dress. This is my last winter styling post for the lovely patterns in the Colette Sewing Handbook. I hope you’ve all enjoyed these posts! These are just gorgeous! I guess the fabrics are the recommended ones for Truffle, only in deeper shades? Oh, that red is just….oh!

These posts are my favorite feature of the blog, so I’m glad you’ll be continuing them. They’ve made me take a second look at patterns I originally passed over, like this one! I agree with Dawn: you have fabulous taste. I always feel a little challenged in the accessorizing department, so it’s helpful to me to see different ways to dress up an outfit.

Thank you so much for this post! I started working on a toile for the Truffle Dress, and I have to say that it is a pleasure to create so far. Everything is lining up beautifully and it looks great too. As a novice sewist, this is so encouraging. I’m so excited to get the final product finished in my liberty print wool!

I LOVE these posts and I honestly would not be sad to see them done for all colette patterns, every season! I think *seeing* the patterns done different ways has definitely increased my desire to buy them!!
BUT, I have to comment on the last ensemble: what is up with the scary legs modelling the tights – please tell me that is just a really poorly designed mannequin!

I thought those legs were creepy, too! They’re like alien legs. But I really like the tights.
