Her post about the pattern: Pastille Dress
What kind of fabric did you use? I used a linen. I love how it feels, even though it looks like it needs to be ironed after a few minutes! The natural fabrics are perfect for hot sunny days.
How did you decide to reflect your personal style in this pattern? I took one look at this pattern and knew that it was for me (or the me I aspire to be perhaps!!). As to the colour, I am generally very unadventurous in my colors (black and white feature prominently in my wardbrobe) and have made an effort to go for bright colours this spring / summer. Being shorter in stature, I like dresses as they make me feel taller. This is definitely going to be a pattern that I use again and again.
What thoughts do you have about the project? It was a lovely dress to sew. Except for the pleats. They did have me using a few choice words normally reserved for the golf course, trying to get them in line. But I persevered, as to me it is the pleats that make this dress. I have used several Colette patterns and I find the instructions easy to understand and the diagrams easy to follow. I am still planning to work my way through the rest of the Colette Sewing Handbook patterns this summer.
Thanks, Debbie!

Very pretty! The color choice is so fresh and pretty and perfect for the simplicity of the garment’s shape. Nice job!
