What kind of fabric did you use? I used brushed cotton twill by Nani Iro, my favorite textile producer.
How did you decide to reflect your personal style in the pattern? Color and prints have always been my signature way of dressing, and red is my favorite color. I’m also trying to add more of a feminine silhouette to my wardrobe. Keeping this in mind, I wanted to create an outfit which I could use for both work and fun and wear for most of the year. Besides that, I can’t live without pockets! So when the summer Colette Patterns collection was released, I purchased the Lily pattern in a flash.
What thoughts do you have about the project? Working with the Lily pattern was so easy! The instructions are super clear and easy to follow. The only adjustments I made were lengthening the bodice and the SBA. Don’t you think the Lily pattern is chic? I would love to make an evening dress using this pattern again, but this time using silk and lace and making a strapless bodice with boning. Ohlala!

Goodness, how I love this!!! It’s so chic and suits Inna perfectly! I’m now itching to cut out my Lily, even though we are approaching winter here!
This is lovely! A very flattering color and fit. Perhaps in the future someone can post tips on lengthening bodices in patterns since many petite people prefer a longer bodice? Thanks!
I am happy to share on my blog how to lengthen the bodice.

This is absolutely gorgeous on you. The fabric is to die for. Yours one is my faves thus far.
meant to say “your one is my fave thus far. ” Bad laptop.
Very, very nice. Well fitted and a perfect color and fabric.
That dress is perfection, I’m looking forward to seeing how this looks with silk and boning in the second version.
Lovely dress & very flattering.
Absolutely lovely, and what a perfect fit!
It looks fabulous! I love the colour. And I love that Ina wants to make an evening version in black silk and lace. The possibilities are endless. I love how so many seamstresses have made this pattern their own!
Thanks for your lovely comments! You made my day!
I am IN LOVE with your dress (sorry if that sounded weird) but it is just perfection. The fabric, the fit, the style all work together perfectly. Well done :)!
Inna, lookin’ so stylin!
