Her post about the pattern: Windmill Colette Hazel Dress

What kind of fabric did you use? I used a lovely African print wax cotton I picked up in a remnant bin. 2.25 meters for £6, not too shabby. I do love a bargain.

How did you decide to reflect your personal style in the pattern? The weather can be pretty grey in England so I am drawn to vibrant colors. When I saw the African cotton fabric I snatched it up. I hesitated in buying it but I am so glad I did. The print works so well with the Hazel pattern. I lined the skirt because I will definitely end up wearing it with tights more often than not.

What thoughts do you have about the project? As always, the Colette instructions are excellent. The Hazel dress is an easy and fast make. I made mine in an afternoon. It’s quite a versatile pattern, too. Two versions of a Hazel dress will rarely look alike. I’m looking forward to making a linen version in yellow, my own personal ray of sunshine.

Thanks, Melizza!
