What fabric did you use?: ‘Dew Drops’ which is a cotton fabric designed by Tula Pink for Free Spirit. I used a vintage tablecloth for the contrasting pieces.
How did you decide to reflect your personal style in the pattern? I love colorful clothing – and this dress is no exception. When I found this ‘Dew Drop’ fabric I knew right away that I wanted to make myself a summer dress. In fact I first thought that the dew drops were rain drops – which the Danish summer is filled with this year – so, I found the fabric to match the unstable Danish summer weather perfectly. I’m also a big fan of upcycling. I’ve turned a lot of old sheets, etc., into clothing, so I decided to pair the Dew Drops with a little bit of red vintage tablecloth from my stash.
What thoughts do you have about the project? I love how this dress turned out. This is my very first Colette dress but absolutely not my last. I found the instructions very detailed and easy to follow. A perfect pattern for curvy women, I think! Love it. I’ve already planned my next Lily….
Thanks, Trine!

What an adorable dress! I love this pattern and this playful, colorful version is gorgeous!
Trine’s dress is so delightful! Pure perfection! What a great use of this colette pattern and I adore the print she has used! I love bright colours too, perhaps my love of colour is in part, due to my inner dane (my parents are Danish :)!)
Thank you so much Sarai and Caitlin for featuring me – I’m truly honored. And thanks to all of you for the kind comments – and if you haven’t already tried this pattern now i definetely the time – it’s perfection!!

Trine
