Reconstructed Rose Dress

reconstructed rose dress

I’m in love with this refashion, from this beautiful swedish lady. She took a long gown, shortened it, and used the excess fabric to create an overskirt with a wide waist that can be attached and removed.

Besides the obvious genius of this particular reconstruction, this photo also has me hankering to create a pretty strapless dress in a rose print. Perhaps with the Eclair dress pattern?

I spotted this while going through my Flickr contacts yesterday and my jaw hit the floor! I’m definitely digging pretty, feminine florals right now, and this is so pretty! If only I could find the perfect fabric… lol.

A good rose print is hard to find, it’s true.
